Trash Scale - App Design

Trash Scale is an application that helps the user see how much waste they are producing by showing them info graphic data. The goal is to give the user an easily digestable amount of information while keeping it light and fun. Scroll down to the bottom to see a prototype I created using Adobe XD.

Status Change

While creating the application I though it would be fun if the status of the earth icon on the scale button would change depending on which way the scale was leaning. If you were recycling more than you are throwing out the earth would be a happy heart. If you are throwing out more than recycling the earth changes to frowning face.

Hi-Fidelity Prototype and User Testing.

I used this prototype to test the app on users to gain insight on their interaction. The goal of this test was to validate some of the user stories as well as get some feedback on my visual and UI design decisions.
